**As of December 2019, Elizabeth is not taking new clients. She is still seeing clients seeking appointments for letters supporting medical transition. Please check back in March 2020 to inquire about ongoing therapy appointments. **
I offer holistic individual, family, couples/relationship, and group therapy. Together in our work, we will use various elements of different theories depending on your needs, past work in therapy, presenting issues and current challenges. With all clients, I practice from a client-centered, trauma informed, and social justice perspective.
I am committed to reducing barriers to medical transition and offer appointments to write letters to support medical transition and other transition related paperwork assistance. You do not need to be an existing client to schedule an appointment for a letter.
I have a Masters in Social Work from the University of WA and have been practicing clinical therapy since 2014.
Healing and caring for ourselves is hard work. Sometimes painful, often fulfilling, occasionally tedious, it is a necessary part of being open to the experiences that life has to offer us. Therapy is one way to find support in healing from trauma, managing our health, and discovering and practicing new ways of caring for ourselves. As Audre Lorde wrote, "Caring for myself is not self-indulgence, it is self-preservation, and that is an act of political warfare." This work is important, both individually and collectively, and I am here to help you with it.
I am trained in the Gottman Method of couples counseling. I am also trained in Lifespan Integration Level 1, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Internal Family Systems.
I am committed to anti-oppression work, especially around racism and transphobia. I am kink-aware. I welcome poly and non-monogamous relationships in relationship therapy. I am sex worker allied.
I am not currently paneled with any insurance companies but will work with you toward reimbursement if your insurance plan offers it. I offer a free 20 minute phone session for new clients. All of my services are offered on a sliding scale. Individual sessions are $85-$125. Family, couple, and group sessions are $130-$175. Appointments for letters to support medical transition and other transition related paperwork assistance are $20-$65.
