I've lived in Washington my whole life, and have been in this field for over 15 years in various roles. I started on this path as a teen while facing my own struggles with substance abuse. I've seen, first hand, how family and personal conflicts can impact a person's growth and well-being, both as a client and a therapist. My scope of practice encompasses many areas, but I primarily focus on anxiety, depression, LGBTQ+ gender and sexual identity, self-esteem, self-acceptance, life goals, wellness, conflict resolution, communication skills, and relationship building. When not at work, I enjoy being outside, doing yard work, and spending time with my partner and kids.
I earned a Bachelors of Arts Degree from the Western Washington University in Human Services. Following that, I entered the Counseling and Psychology program at City University in Seattle and was awarded a Masters Degree in June 2014.
My foundation is in Strength-Based, Solution-Focused, Multicultural, and Person Centered approaches. I see my role as being an advocate by providing a safe environment, and empowering clients to work through challenges while gaining self-understanding and acceptance.
I provide counseling for individual adolescents, teens, and adults.
